About Dr. DaVida

Dr. DaVida L. Anderson is a motivational speaker, educator, and leader who believes success begins with intentional and positive choices. Her work is rooted in helping people understand who they are, recognize their purpose, and take meaningful steps toward becoming their best selves.

When people feel stuck, disconnected, or unsure of their next move, Dr. Anderson creates space for honest and relevant conversations that lead to clarity, growth, and confidence. She is known for meeting audiences where they are and inspiring them to move forward with purpose, integrity, and courage. Her warmth, energy, and authenticity make her a powerful and memorable presence on stage.

Dr. Anderson is the Founder and Executive Director of Strong Sister, Silly Sister, Inc., a nonprofit organization focused on empowering college women to make ethical decisions, build confidence, and lead with intention. Her work is deeply grounded in real life experience and a commitment to helping individuals grow from the inside out.

With an extensive background in higher education and student affairs, Dr. Anderson brings expertise in leadership development, student conduct, crisis management, residence education, and fraternity and sorority life. This experience allows her to deliver engaging messages that resonate across diverse audiences and translate inspiration into action.

Dr. Anderson earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in African American Studies from Purdue University, a Master of Science in Higher Education from Loyola University Chicago, and a certificate in mediation from Northwestern University. She also holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Policy and Leadership Studies from the University of Iowa.

Whether she is speaking to students, educators, leaders, or community members, Dr. Anderson shows up with purpose in every step. She walks in purpose, speaks life, and challenges others to do the same.
